Nobody watches robot archery

An archer's job is to be a robot, yet nobody would watch a machine do it perfectly. The test for what to automate: does anyone value watching a human do it?

Three threads

Most of what is here is about AI: what it changes in the way organisations work, and what to do about that on a Monday morning. The latest is Nobody watches robot archery, and there are plenty more. For the whole argument in order rather than one article at a time, the course runs to six modules on the architecture decisions behind an AI programme, free and without sign-up. AI Strategy & Adoption is what this looks like as an engagement.

The second thread is the building. Peekabout and Sunlight are on the app stores, Card Stash keeps a wallet of loyalty cards off the internet entirely, and all three share the design system that also renders this page. The Lab holds the rest, down to the tools I built to solve one afternoon's problem, and the Gallery collects AI images with the prompts behind them.

The third is publishing, and direct-to-consumer in particular. The Publishing Partnership Planner lays out what an author actually earns once advances, escalators, and four formats are in play, and the D2C writing covers the strategy around it.
